Rain of Starscream

Starscream is not only starring in his own movie-based miniseries, but he also plays a prominent role in All Hail Megatron.

Here, he and fellow Seekers, Thundercracker and Skywarp, rain down some terror in Times Square. Courtesy of Guido Guidi and Josh Burcham.

  3. You're welcome. Hopefully Focus On: Decepticons can tide everyone over until July.

  4. Is this in the same universe as -Lations?

Artwise looks like going back to 2002 and Dreamwave. And that's a huge drawback after Su's beautiful art!

I wished so much better and more realism from IDW and Guidi. Now this page looks just meh.

    Coloring is good though. =)

    Sorry.

  5. This is set in the IDW TF universe.

I love what Guido has done with this project. I'd rank it several notches above "meh."

But if it's more Su you want, check out the upcoming Spotlight: Cyclonus. And if you're good, you might get to see some preview art right here!

I'll ask the obvious; If it's in the same verse as -lations...why do they look like the Classics F-15s instead of F-22s? o.O

  7. That's a question best left for Mr. McCarthy to answer.

  8. Yeah baby! That's the stuff.

Hope the story/writing match up to the quality of the art and the colouring.

    Bring it on!

It's great to finally see Guido on a major project at IDW (besides the Evolutions miniseries). He's the best.

This page looks spectacular!! The more cartoon-acurate, the better, IMO. It's still what people recognise the most when it comes to Transformers.

Very curious why the jets now sport a Masterpiece design, I do hope this series is 'in continuity'. I prefer these designs, though. It's nice to have a comic about the actual figures you own :)

  10. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW YOU CAN SAY THAT THE ART HERE IS A STEP BACK AND MEH.....
THIS IS GREAT! THIS IS AWESOME!
I LOVED THE DREAMWAVE ARTWORK! I THOUGHT IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST DESIGNS I HAVE EVER SEEN THE TRANSFORMERS IN!

BUT ANYWAYS.....GOOD STUFF GUIDI....(i still can't get over your name hahahah) awesome name

Dreamwave had highs and lows. The coloring was always fantastic, very animé-like.
But Pat Lee in particular had huge problems with page layouts and anatomy. The fact that all the limbs on his figures looked like inflated balloons didn't help either.

Guido, Don and also Joe Ng were/are excellent TF artists, though, and discovered by them (DW) as far as I know. So mentioning Dreamwave can both be an insult or a compliment, it depends which artist you mean :)
